Who are OFSTED?
OFSTED inspect schools to provide information to parents and carers, to promote improvement and, where applicable, to hold schools to account for the public money they receive. School inspections are required by law. We provide an independent assessment of the quality and standards of education in schools, and check whether pupils are achieving as much as they can.

- the achievement of pupils at the school
- the quality of teaching in the school
- the behaviour and safety of pupils at the school
- the quality of leadership in, and management of, the school
- the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of pupils at the school
- the extent to which the education provided by the school meets the needs of disabled
- pupils and those who have special educational needs
