6A's Fundraising Success for the Rukhsana Khan Foundation

6A raised money for a local food bank that supports families in need.
During the second half of the Autumn Term, we embarked on an inspiring project to raise money for the Rukhsana Khan Foundation, a local food bank that supports families in need. The foundation provides essential food parcels, hygiene products and other resources to vulnerable individuals in our community. Food banks like this play a crucial role in addressing food insecurity, especially during challenging times, by offering vital support to those who need it most.
To achieve our fundraising goal, we worked hard to organise and run our very own festive market. We sourced seasonal items to sell and created handmade products such as beaded bracelets and bookmarks. Along the way, we learned and developed valuable skills, including budgeting, calculating costs and understanding profit margins. We also had the opportunity to present our project in an assembly. Our efforts culminated in the 6A Christmas Market and our participation in the FRAPS Winter Fair, where our creativity and teamwork shone brightly.
We are incredibly proud of the outstanding team spirit, dedication and effort everyone in 6A put into this project. Together, we raised an impressive profit of £223.33! A heartfelt thank you goes out to the fellow pupils of Roger Ascham and the wider school community for supporting our fundraising project. Together, we’ve made a meaningful contribution to a cause that truly makes a difference.
Thank you once again for your support and generosity.
