Children throughout the school have been competing in multi-sports athletics competitions. Activities included: triple jump, relays, obstacle courses, ‘over and under’, chest push, javelin…to name a few.

The feedback we received on the day was fantastic: every child went and competed to the best of their ability and we could not ask for better representatives of our school. 

As so many schools enter, it is completed over 4 sessions. 

The children compete in their individual and team activities (some of which we won too), with points awarded for time and distance. These points then get added together. The Year 5 and 6 Athletics Team received a total of 525 points, Roger Ascham in second place overall! 

Unfortunately, the Year 1 & 2 team and Year 3 & 4 team didn’t finish in the top 3 overall (Ms Scott thinks they came 4th), but they still have a few years of practice left and had a fun afternoon of competition.

In Year 5: Joseph, Mussa, Amelia, Muhammad, Nicole, Jessica, Drusilla, Cassie, Lael, Olive, Isabelle, Miyah, Sandra.
